Harvester of Sorrow

Three Hundred and Sixty people killed within the span of four days.
More than one thousand five hundred people injured.

Are you happy Ehud Olmert?

You killed a mother.
Are you happy?
You killed a father.
Are you happy?
You killed a brother/sister.
Are you happy?
You killed a son/daughter.
Are you happy?

Of the 360 people 62 were women and children.

How you sleep soundly at night after these actions defies me. May you one day feel the pain. May you one day feel the suffering. It matters not. You will one day be held accountable.

A World So Cold

What is with this world we live in? Every single thing that we so adamantly claim to be against occurs under our very noses. We have War, War, War and more War. And for what? Is it that the only way man knows to voice his opinion is through violence? Have we not evolved enough in the last two thousand years of civilized living to know now that it seems like a pretty dumb idea?

Albert Einstein said that so long as there are men there will be wars, but can’t we change that. And why is it that the young, fit members of our community hurl themselves in an almost suicidal manner at the frontlines of the war. Fighting for ideologies that were dreamed up by some old fart. Ideologies that many of these brave fools won’t live to see realised.

And then you have the U.N. the biggest facade known to man. Formed in 1945 after the world war to stop fights between nations.... Yeah, sure. Declaring the war on Iraq to be completely illegal and then doing absolutely nothing in the past so many years. Declaring sanctions on Iran just because they chose to exercise their right to nuclear technology. What separates the United States, Russia, India, Pakistan and even Israel from Iran? And what gives them the right to have this technology?

The despicable acts that occurred on September 11th, the July 7th London bombings, the Madrid train bombings and the Mumbai attacks.

When will it end?

Fortune Faded

With the current state of the world being, lets just say 'gloomy'. It truly is interesting to just sit back and look at the events unfold. From the predictible stuff such as the retrenchment of staff on a global scale (Sony: 16,000 Jobs, Rio Tinto: 14,000) to the not so Run-of-the-mill.

Aston Martin, the supplier of James Bonds speed machines has, in the light of the global credit crunch chosen  a more relaxed tone. Rather than let the global crisis ruffle their oft-pampered feathers they felt it was a good time for the launch of a 1.8 million dollar (6.6 mil AED) super-car. The 'One-77'. Think 700 horsepower from a V-12 in one of the sexiest moulds of alluminium and carbon-fibre known to man.
'Who would buy such an outrageously expensive car in todays day and age?' you ask. Fret not, All 77 of this limited production car are already pre-booked

*sigh*. To be rich....
